About NFLA Austin Dire Need Fund
The NFL Alumni Austin Chapter desires to create a dire need fund, to be managed by a five person committee that shall include the current president and treasurer, along with three volunteers and use its proceeds, as approved by the five person committee, to help NFL retired players in the Austin/Central Texas area with:
1) Medical assistance, including payments of insurance premiums, co-pays and deductibles, prescription medicines, physicians bills, laboratory and radiology bills;
2) Living expenses including lodging, rent, mortgage, property taxes, food/groceries, utility and telephone bills;
3) And, to reimburse any person who incurred expenses, verified with the proper documentation and approved by the five person committee, on behalf of an NFL retired player to pay for any of the medical assistance and living expenses mentioned before.
The NFL Alumni Association is a 501c3 organization and donations made to the NFL Alumni Dire Need Fund are fully tax deductible.
